Madhu Singh - Managing Director

Qualifications: Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Experience & Specialisms: Madhu has extensive experience of working closely with a number of owner-managed businesses. He provides effective informal and friendly service from bookkeeping and business start-up to final accounts and retiring from the business in the most tax efficient way. His passion is to continuously help his clients to achieve their personal and business goals.

Outside Work: Madhu likes reading and listening to audiotapes on self-improvement and motivation. He loves watching classical comedies on TV like 'Only Fools & Horses', 'Yes Prime Minister' and 'One foot in the Grave'. He is also continuously trying to achieve his ideal weight by focusing on 'work-life' balance. He also enjoys walking and is an active member of Interfaith and Network of Sikh organisations, currently doing his doctorate in Sikh Philosophy at the World Sikh University.

Mitesh Buhecha - Director/Practice Manager

Experience & Specialisms: Mitesh has been with Haartwells since day 1(1988). In this twenty-year period he has learnt first hand from within the business, on how to grow a small business into what Haartwells is today. This valuable experience/knowledge in all accountancy matters has benefited many of our clients within their businesses. Mitesh's wealth of experience and approachable/friendly nature, together with his "No Jargon" method makes him very popular with clients.

If you were to summarise Mitesh's specialism in one word it would have to be "All Rounder"

Outside Work: Mitesh's passion outside accountancy has to be the love of his family and football. With the recent arrival of his twins, a little boy and a little girl, Mitesh does not seem to have any spare time for anything else. Mitesh’s constant smile just shows how proud he is to be a parent and will do anything in his power to make sure they are loved and cared for.

Mitesh claims to be the "original" Luton Town Supporter! Mitesh enjoys visiting different places within the UK and abroad, as he feels culture and knowledge is important in life.

Lisa West - Client Manager

Experience & Specialisms: Lisa has been a valued team member for over 7-years. In this time shehas undertaken various duties within our practice, these duties include accountancy, bookkeeping, VAT and payroll. Lisa's positive bubbly attitude makes her very popular with clients who are always happy to pick up the phone and ask her for advice knowing she will provide them with a friendly professional service. Lisa is also keen to help with new marketing ideas, knowing we are here to help clients grow their businesses.

Outside Work: Lisa’s life changed in 2007 with the arrival of her daughter and she thrives on the responsibility of being a parent. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and reliving her childhood since her daughter arrived. Lisa enjoys football and formula one but does not seem to get enough uninterrupted time to watch a full match or race.

 

Debbie Mills – Payroll Manager / Sage Bookkeeper

Experience & Specialisms: Debbie joined Haartwells in 2007 taking over Lisa’s role in payroll. Debbie now successfully runs our payroll department on a daily basis with the backup of other team members. Debbie also has extensive knowledge of Sage Accounts Software, which enables her to deal with client queries and VAT’s. Debbie also provides our ‘on-site’ and ‘off-site’ training for Sage Accounts. Debbie’s patience and friendly approachable mannerism makes her a very popular team member with both peers and clients that she trains.

Outside Work: Debbie enjoys spending time at her second home, in Spain where she can relax and escape from the pressures of everyday life. Debbie also enjoys walking, reading and cooking.

  

Tricia Wynne – Office Administrator

Experience & Specialisms: Tricia is the newest member of the team. She is a helpful, enthusiastic and a keen team member, she has excellent communication skills which is well appreciated by our clients. Tricia is always willing to help both her colleagues and the clients, providing the best service possible. Tricia assists with all administrative duties making sure all correspondence is dealt with promptly.

Outside Work: Tricia spends her spare time looking after her two children Talia 5, and Rocco 4. She also helps her husband run his successful painting and decorating business. Tricia enjoys socialising with friends and family and loves cooking which is sometimes not appreciated by all.

 

Vicky Hastings – Accounts Assistant

Experience & Specialisms: Vicky joined our team at the beginning of 2010 and has already proved she has the ability to success within our practice. Her enthusiasm and politeness has been well received by the Haartwells teams and clients. Vicky is responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping which Haartwells provides for our clients, along with assisting our payroll department. Her knowledge of Value Added Tax has increased extensively since joining Haartwells as she is always keen to learn.

Outside Work: Vicky lives with her partner Steve and together they enjoy travelling and socialising. Vicky enjoys making jewellery and plays golf when the time permits, because looking after her elderly horse Bonnie takes up many free hours.

Declan Moran – Trainee Accountant

Experience & Specialisms: Declan began his Haartwells days on work-experience and loved the team and work so much he became full-time 6-months ago after finishing school.  Declan is currently studying ACCA and progressing extremely well.  His confidence is growing by the day and he is very enthusiastic to learn all aspects of the practice.  Declan is involved mainly in accounts production and works closely with the Senior Accountants, learning all aspects of accountancy.  He also helps out in our VAT department and will soon be adding payroll and tax to his knowledge.  Declan has become a valuable member of the Haartwells team.

Outside Work: Declan likes to maintain a physical lifestyle outside of work by playing rugby and going to the gym. Not only does Declan play rugby, but he also loves watching it too and thinks it’s an amazing sport and definitely better than football! Declan also is very outgoing and likes socialising with his friends on the weekend and maintaining a good outgoing life.
